Brooks
Family. Picture is said to have been
taken at the wedding of Charles Albert Drye to Lydia Adeline Brooks (daughter
of John "Coffee John" and Patsey Cuthbertson Brooks) The wedding took place 30 Dec 1860. However, very few people in this photograph
have been identified. If you can
identify anyone in this photo, please email
me.
I've made
blowups of different sections of this photograph… go to the Blowup page to get a better
look at people in this picture. It
might help to identify them.

Lydia Brooks
Smith (daughter of Thomas Joshua Brooks and Mary Perlina Huneycutt Brooks),
wife of George W. Smith (to right - son of John Exum Smith and Nancy Tilly
Austin).

Another shot
of James "Jim" Elexander Brooks and his wife, Margaret Elizabeth
"Maggie" Drye.
This is
another picture of James "Jim" Elexander Brooks in his later
years. The house in the background has
the same type columns on the porch as the house in the Brooks Family Picture
above. It'd be great to know where this
house was.

And here's another
shot of my grandpa, Rev. Edgar Marcelus Brooks… I think he looks so much like
Jim Brooks… It's easy to pick out the Brooks features from these two!
