1848 Distribution of Estate Funds

For Heirs of William Brooks II

All of the family mentioned here can easily be accounted for with one exception, Jane Carelock. She receives an equal share in William Brooks II’s estate. I would have to assume that she is a daughter of William’s. But, what Carelock did she marry? Where are they before William’s death? It is still a mystery for me. Perhaps one day, we will know. My guess is that she married James Carelock and moved to Walker Co, GA. But, that’s a long shot.
