William Brooks I  (stone erected by E.M. Brooks in 1941)  born in Culpepper Co., Virginia 1736.  Moved to North Carolina 1764 (BCB NOTE:  the actual grant was dated 24 Apr 1762 and there’s evidence that he was here prior to 1764… his original stone was made of slate with initials "W B" in center, "1736" on left and "1818" on right).  Died at home here in 1818 age 82 years.  Has many descendants in Union and Stanly Co.

Unmarked grave to left of grave of C. A. Dry.  No name or dates but Mrs. Elizabeth Parker Reynolds, Dry family genealogist, states that it is the grave of Easter Misenheimer, first wife of Charles Andrew Dry.
