To the Honorable the general assembly
greetings
The Petition of REBECCAH BROOKS,
WILLIAM BROOKS and JOHN HARBERT SUGG – Executrix and Executors of JOHN BROOKS, Dec’d Humbly Showeth that the said JOHN BROOKS in his life ? ? Since before his Death sold to a Certain
WILLIAM JONES a tract or parcel of land Sittuated in
the County of Anson lying on Cribbs Creek Containing
one Hundred acres – and Recvd part of the Consideration
thereof and gave his Bond to make a just & lawful Title thereto When
thereunto Requessed Your Petition further showeth that the said JOHN BROOKS hath Neglected Making the
Title to the said WILLIAM JONES for the lands and premises aforesaid in his
lifetime. Your petitioners further showeth that Some Time in the month of January one Thousand
Seven hundred and Ninety Two the said JOHN BROOKS, Departed this Life, and in
his Last Will and Testament he hath given us a Power to your Petitioners or any
other Person to Make Title to the said WILLIAM JONES for the aforesaid Lands
& Primises – Your Petitioners Therfore
Convinces Themselves to be in Danger of being Invalued
in a Law such and the Estate of the said JOHN BROOKS suffer Considerable
Damages and ? to (annissesosy

Your Petitioners therefore prays Your
Honorable assembly to Take the Premiss under Your
Consideration and Release Your Petitioners by possing
a Law to give Your Petitioners full Power to make Title in ??
to the said WILLIM JONES his heirs and assigns for ? for the said Lands and primises
and your Petitioners Shall in Duty ? pray ??
